A hybrid high-order method for creeping flows of non-Newtonian fluids

In this paper, we design and analyze a Hybrid High-Order discretization method for the steady motion of non-Newtonian, incompressible fluids in Stokes approximation small velocities. The proposed has several appealing features including support general meshes high-order, unconditional inf-sup stability, orders convergence that match those obtained scalar Leray–Lions problems. A complete well-posedness analysis is carried out under new, assumptions on strain rate-shear stress law, which encompass common examples such as power-law Carreau–Yasuda models. Numerical exposition.
